Your exam includes a refraction (test for visual acuity), glaucoma screening, visual field testing and dilation of the eyes. An exam typically takes 60-90 minutes, depending upon whether you are allowing the doctor to dilate your eyes. You should bring any current prescription glasses, along with any contact lens, and sunglasses if you want.
