Sonoma County Martial Arts Center was established in 1983 by head instructor Master Herb Cody Senior. Master Cody has an extensive history as a trainer of 8 World Champions, instructor of Escrima, Kickboxing, and Masters Degree in traditional Kenpo Karate. Sonoma County Martial Arts Center specializes in Kickboxing, Kenpo Karate, Escrima, Tai chi, and Qigong all while teaching proper body mechanics and form.
With the proper body mechanics and training our students achieve a healthier body, greater sense of self esteem, mental awareness, and over all mental calmness. Sonoma County Martial Arts has been teaching in the art of traditional Kenpo Karate since 1983. Karate ages start at 4 and continue though adult. Family programs are available. At Sonoma County Martial Arts, our program contains 1 private and 2 classes per week for every student. We find this program is designed to reach 100% of our students potential.
Brandon Bertnick, Instructor

Mr. Brandon Bertnick is a Red Sash Senior Instructor. He actively trains in Kenpo Karate, Kickboxing, and Escrima. His martial arts training began with Taekwondo, but has now continued his journey with SCMAC for over 6 years. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance.
Ms. Joelle, Instructor

Ms. Joelle teaches women's kickboxing. She is a black belt who has been training for over 18 years and has been teaching for over 10 with 12 fights. She is also a mother and working professional. She teaches to all ages 12 and over. She taylors a program to your level to help you achieve your goals.

The Gathering is a bringing together of friends, family, aquaintences, colleagues and future friends to celebrate our common thread of the martial arts via demonstrations, exhibitions and camaraderie.
