St. Matthew's Preschool has served Snellville, and the surrounding community for over 30 years. We have expanded our program to meet the needs of the community we serve. Our Programs include: Toddlers, Twos, Threes, Fours, and Kindergarten. Every one of our teachers is a mom, so the loving care of your child is in the hands of a parent like you.
Almost all our staff members are parents of St. Matthew's "graduates" or have a child currently enrolled here. We have a vested interest in making sure the teaching at St. Matthew's is top-notch. In addition to having "hands-on" parenting experience, our teachers also complete 10 hours of continuing education training per school year, to stay up-to-date on the newest ideas and trends.

Three-year-olds attend either three or five days a week. Classes meet Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Monday through Friday. Enrollment in our Threes classes is limited to twelve children (with two teachers) to ensure that your child gets maximum attention and care. Our Threes curriculum focuses on the following areas: language development, cognitive abilities, social/emotional development, fine and gross motor skills, and creativity.
Fours
Report
Our Fours curriculum focuses on the following areas: language development, cognitive abilities, social/emotional development, fine and gross motor skills, and creativity. As part of their language development, we encourage our four-year-olds to have a sense of humor. We look for opportunities to laugh with them, by reading funny books and making up silly rhymes.
Kindergarten
Report
Most children who attend St. Matthew's Kindergarten will go on to attend Gwinnett County Schools. For that reason, St. Matthew's Kindergarten follows the Gwinnett County's Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS), to ensure our children are ready for 1st grade. In addition to studying the 7 areas of learning, children will have the opportunity to have at least 20 minutes of physical activity each day, if weather permits.
Support Us
Report
St Matthew's Preschool and Kindergarten is a nonprofit, and we work hard to control tuition costs while providing a rich experience for our children. In addition, we provide scholarships for families who couldn't otherwise afford preschool, and support our teachers' professional development. To do this, we rely on donations and the contributions of our volunteers.
