Dr. Eddie Moore
Report
Dr. Eddie Moore graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983 and immediately began an equine practice at Louisiana Downs and the surrounding training centers. As a mobile practitioner he has served clients in the Arklatex for over thirty years. Dr. Moore's interests in rural practice lead to the development of Haughton Animal Hospital in 1987.
Dental Care
Report
Good oral hygene is not only important for people, but for our pets too! Bacteria accumulates in plaque on the teeth above the gumline, and can lead to many oral health issues. Long-term bacteria and plaque can also damage the kidneys, intestinal tracts and even your pet's joints. A healthy diet and regular teeth cleaning can add years to your pet's life.
In-Clinic Diagnostics
Report
Just as with human medicine, in certain illnesses or surgical events it may be necessary to take a look at your pet's bloodwork prior to the procedure. Our facility has the ability to run a complete blood count (CBC) to determine the amount of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets present in your pet.
Microchipping
Report
Have you ever lost a pet? It is one of the worst feelings that a pet parent may have to endure. Today however, there is a much greater chance of your pet returning home if they are microchipped or tattooed. Each microchip is about the size of a grain of rice, and they are inserted just under your pet's skin between the shoulder blades.
Radiography
Report
Our hospital is equipped with the most advanced x-ray system available in veterinary medicine today! Our digital radiography system takes more enhanced images than were available in the past, meaning your pet will be exposed to fewer x-rays and we are even more accurate when we are locating a problem.
