Cataract Surgery
Report
Cataracts tend to develop in people over the age of 55 and are widely known to be a symptom of aging. However, cataracts can develop as a result of an eye injury or disease, a family history of cataracts, smoking, or due to the use of certain medications. Our doctors may recommend lens replacement surgery for people who are significantly affected by cataracts.
Glaucoma Treatment
Report
Glaucoma is a complicated disease in which damage to the optic nerve leads to progressive, irreversible vision loss. It is the second leading cause of blindness but continues to be a very misunderstood disease. Many people don't realize the severity of the condition or who can be affected by it.

Glaucoma can cause blindness if it is left untreated, and unfortunately, approximately 10% of people with glaucoma who receive proper treatment still experience some loss of vision. There is no cure (yet) for glaucoma, and lost vision cannot be regained. However, with medication and/or surgery, it is possible to halt further loss of vision caused by the condition.
