In 1963 Alfred Sports Center was founded by the Curran family of Alfred, NY. The Sports Center began as a ski and sporting goods shop providing goods and services to the surrounding area. The Currans also owned and operated Happy Valley Ski Center, a small ski hill in Alfred.

In 1980 Alfred Sports Center purchased screen printing and vinyl cutting equipment and began providing the community with team uniforms, custom t-shirts, fraternity and sorority shirts, professional wear and more.With this foundation, the Curran family has been an essential part of the Alfred area small business community for over half a century.
