Charlie Vettiner Golf Course
Report
Charlie Vettiner Golf Course is a gorgeous golf course with rolling hills, bent grass greens, and zoysia fairways. If the 50 white sand bunkers and tree-lined fairways aren't enough to get your attention, how about the creek that meanders through several holes, with ponds on #5, #14 and #18. This has been rated as the 7th most challenging course in Kentucky.
Cherokee Golf Course
Report
Founded in 1895, Cherokee is one of the oldest municipal golf courses in the United States. It's also the oldest public golf course in Louisville. With its hilly layout and two lake holes, Cherokee is the shortest of the Metro Parks courses, and an excellent place to improve your short-iron game. Other amenities include a fully stocked Pro Shop, snack bar, large practice putting green, and a picnic area for outings of all occasions.
Crescent Hill Golf Course
Report
Founded in 1926, Crescent Hill Golf Course celebrates its 91st year in 2017. This course has no water hazards and no bunkers, making it a perfect course for both novice and experienced golfers! The bermuda grass fairways with pronounced hills and unusual layout (3 par threes, 3 par fours, 3 par fives) of the course make it very fun to play.
Iroquois Golf Course
Report
Creeks come into play on seven of the holes. The 8th is the signature hole at Iroquois. A par 4 that can play up to 405 yards, this hole doglegs to the left and is guarded by a bunker on each side. Iroquois does not have a driving range, but it does have a putting green and a chipping green available for practice and warm-up.
