Dr. Elbert Chang, DDS, MS is a Board Certified Periodontist. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and earned his D.D.S. Degree from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry. He continued on at Ohio State to complete a three-year periodontal residency program in 2003 before moving to the DC area in 2006.

I love this place! I needed to have posts put in for two implants. I was worried that it might be a bit painful. I was pleasantly pleased to find a very friendly staff and Dr Chang really made me feel at ease. I was really surprised when he had verified with my dentist that a single implant would be recommended (and that the implant/crown could look like two). This also saves me a lot of expense. I kept waiting for the intense pain after the post was installed, but as it turns out I really didn't experience any pain at all. I will readily recommend The Rockville Perio Pa to anyone and will use

This is not a good person or dentist in that he charged me a lot of money for numerous cleanings and x-rays and then decided he was not up to the task to do the work. I have a dentist who is doing a great job. I think he was amazed that this dentist was not up to the task to do the work. None of the costly x-rays were usable. He does have a great receptionist.

Dr. Chang is the consummate professional and a very personable individual. He was extremely attentive to my comfort during two procedures. And he makes himself accessible afterward. His office staff is similarly responsive and friendly. I would not consider using anyone else. I trust him completely.

Dr. Chang and his staff are super sweet. They did everything possible to make me comfortable for what is inherently a mildly unpleasant experience (crown lengthening). His office is also easy to get to and has parking right in front, so it's hassle free.
I hope I never have to see Dr. Chang again (as a patient), but at least if I do I know he'll do his best to make things as pleasant and painless as possible.
