Houston is a native of Maury County. He wanted to be a lawyer since he was a boy, and after receiving a degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, where he majored in History, he received his law degree from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
After serving as law clerk to federal district judge Harry Wellford in Memphis, Houston returned to his hometown and practiced law for 21 years, first with MacFarland, Colley, Blank & Jack, and then with Trabue, Sturdivant & DeWitt.His law practice was varied, and included wills and estates; divorces, custody, and support; adoptions; real estate; business law; and litigation.

Wesley Mack Bryant

Wesley was born and raised in Columbia, TN. After graduating from Ole Miss in 1999, he attended the University Of Tennessee College Of Law where he served as the Student Materials Editor of the Tennessee Law Review. After receiving his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from UT in 2002, Wesley returned to Columbia and began practicing law where he concentrates on Domestic Relations/Family Law, Criminal Law, Collections, and Landlord Tenant issues.

With a catholic father from New York and an evangelical mother who grew up outside of Houston, Texas, Shawn learned to appreciate multiple sides and outlooks early on in life.
