HiYa Karate is a family-owned, operated, and integrated Martial Arts Center located in Mount Airy, MD. HiYa Karate has been serving youth and adults alike since 2008. The dojo is built on a foundation of Yes I Can, empowering students to believe in themselves and others. Teaching self-defense is a major priority at HiYa.
We teach our students how to avoid and deal with dangerous situations, making sure everyone remains as safe as possible. By practicing the martial art of Tang Soo Do or Way of the empty hand, HiYa Karate allows you and your children to attain physical, mental, and behavioral discipline needed to cultivate a healthy, balanced body and mind.

Tiger Cubs Ages 3-4

Our Tiger Cubs Program is designed to first and foremost involve your youngster in a safe, fun, and exciting adventure! The classes are designed for children ages 3-4. By using basic karate skills suited for this age group, we will develop your child's ability to concentrate and help them with coping skills for the all-day classroom environment.
Dragons Ages 5-6

The Dragon Represents Spirit and the program is designed especially for this spirited age group of 5-6 year olds. The class will your child gain confidence and self-esteem. Using basic karate skills with disciplined techniques we will help your child gain valuables self-confidence and self-esteem while HAVING FUN!
Leopards Adults 14
Report
Teenagers (ages 14+) or adults join this program to challenge themselves physically and mentally, achieving new goals! Teens & adults complement each other's karate and fitness training from different areas of strength. Parent & Child training side-by-side is an exceptional experience and a lifelong memory.
Demo Team

HiYa Karate's Panther Demo Team is comprised of students of all ages and skill level who are particularly dedicated to their training and ENJOY performing! Any member of HiYa Karate can participate provided he/she is willing to put in the extra time and effort it takes to make a performance successful.
