We create superb course conditions while maintaining the classic design and character of the golf course and clubhouse. After over a century of continuous operation, our mission is to carry on tradition, while continually evolving and adapting in order to remain current and relevant.

A number of well recognized professionals have designed the course layout of PGC. For example, Robert Trent Jones established a design goal "to make the player stop and think before swinging". The complexity of PGC's greens rewards players that emphasize their short game, while providing a great variety of shots to all.
Junior Golf

We believe golf is a game for a lifetime and the PGC Junior Golf Program is one of our top traditions. From age four through High School, PGC offers age and skill-level programming to provide a fun experience. Children are coached on their swing, the game, the rules, etiquette, and attitude management.

Portland Golf Club is a year-round club, with a great range of club amenities which extend a traditional golf club experience. The centerpiece of our private community is our 38,000 square foot modernized clubhouse overlooking the 1st and 10th tees. Members and their guests can enjoy a wide range of activities, given the club's varied room sizes, venues, and indoor/outdoor options.

Beyond amazing golf experiences, our members enjoy year-round social programs, including card and mahjong games, musicians, guest speakers, dances, cooking classes, every-Friday Happy Hours, and holiday-themed parties. With a diverse membership, PGC's programs and clubhouse opportunities are designed by our member-led Entertainment Committee, and delivered through the support of our outstanding staff.
