History

The Inn began in the early 1800's as the "Suspension Bridge House", named as such because of its proximity to the new suspension bridge which was constructed at or about that time over the Esopus Creek. Around the turn of the century it was renamed the Hurley Hotel, featuring a tavern and a one chair barber shop.
