Chuck graduated from college in 1976 and then finished a Master's degree in 1978. Upon graduation he worked in higher education for fifteen years, while still continuing to build homes during his summers off. In 1988 he obtained a Class A Contractor's License from the State of Virginia and founded Timberlake Construction Co., LLC.
Along with traditionally constructed houses, he has also built four timber-frame homes in the Lynchburg area. In 1996 he worked with well-known builder/inspector, James Falls, for almost a year in order to learn the inspection business. At the same time, he also remained active in the construction business.

These guys are great! Very personable, and we’re very thorough in the inspection. Noted defects down to the last detail. You can tell these guys know what to look for, and know if it’s a major or minor issue. Very happy with the inspection I received. Will definitely use them again in the future when needed.

As first-time home buyers, we were nervous going into the home inspection, but Chuck and his team made it so easy on us! From the simple, user-friendly website to schedule our inspection, to the team of professionals that he brought with him to the home, everything about our experience was positive.
We especially appreciated the time each member of his team took to explain what they were looking for and why. Careful time was spent to ensure that it was incredibly thorough (I'm not sure the seller liked that part though!).

Chuck and his team were friendly, informative, thorough, and professional. The process of online scheduling and payment was very easy and quick. They took the time to go through each part of the inspection report, describing in detail their findings and made sure to answer any questions I had. Chuck even provided his home number In the event I had questions arise after hours. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional, high quality home inspection.
