Of all the cancers that humans can get, skin cancer is by far the most common and it is estimated that 1 in 5 Americans will get skin cancer by the age of 70[1]!

Generously apply a broad-spectrum water-resistant sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or more to all exposed skin when outdoors. The most effective sunscreens will include Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide in their ingredients. Wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirt, pants, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses where possible.

Also, if any of your lesions fulfill ANY of the ABCDE criteria listed below, make an appointment with your dermatologist as soon as possible.
