Services
Contact Lens Exams
Our contact lens exams assess vision correction needs while considering eye health factors like dryness or allergies. Dr. Stoner determines refractive errors through precise measurements using phoropters or automated instruments. We offer customized solutions including soft, rigid gas-permeable, and specialty lenses for conditions like astigmatism. The evaluation considers patients' lifestyles and visual demands, ensuring optimal lens selection for comfort and clarity. Patients receive detailed instructions for proper lens care and follow-up assessments.
LASIK Surgery
We provide comprehensive LASIK evaluations and post-operative care. The process begins with determining candidacy through patient history review and eye health assessments. Qualified patients receive referrals to surgical centers with continued communication throughout their procedure. Our practice manages follow-up care for six months post-surgery, including day-one check-ups and final assessments at 12 months. We educate patients about benefits like improved sports performance and allergy relief while addressing specific vision correction needs for myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
Vision Therapy
This non-surgical treatment addresses vision problems affecting learning and daily activities. Customized therapy programs use progressive exercises to improve visual skills like eye tracking, focusing, and coordination. Sessions last 30-60 minutes and occur 1-2 times weekly under professional supervision. We focus on enhancing neurological connections between eyes and brain rather than merely strengthening eye muscles. Effective for treating lazy eye, double vision, and computer vision syndrome symptoms in both children and adults.
Ortho-K
Orthokeratology offers non-surgical vision correction through nighttime contact lens wear. Custom lenses gently reshape corneas during sleep, providing clear vision for up to two days without corrective eyewear. This reversible treatment benefits patients unsuitable for laser surgery due to medical conditions or personal preferences. We conduct precise corneal mapping to fabricate specialized lenses, with regular evaluations ensuring optimal results. Ideal for managing myopia progression in children and providing convenient vision correction for active adults.
Computer Vision
Our computer vision services address digital eye strain symptoms affecting screen users. We diagnose and treat conditions like blurred vision, eye fatigue, and headaches caused by prolonged device use. The examination includes posture assessment, lighting adjustments, and personalized recommendations for screen positioning. We implement the 20-20-20 rule for eye breaks and evaluate ergonomic workspace setups. Treatment plans combine environmental modifications with vision correction solutions tailored to specific digital usage patterns.

I highly recommend Dr. Stoner and his entire staff to everyone! They are a wonderful, warm, fun group of people who will make you feel right at home. I've been going to Advanced Family Eyecare for two years. I referred my daughter. She started going this year. She is very happy, more than satisfied and will continue getting eyecare here as well. Dr. Stoner is amazing! My entire life, I have never had such a patient, compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable, eyecare professional. He takes time to explain and actually has up to date technology, which let's you see the test results of your eyes on screen

I had to make a last minute appointment for a minor issue. They fit me right in to their schedule. They take many insurances including OHP. When I got there it was a quick, easy and friendly check-in. They took me straight back to the exam room. Doc was kind and laid back. He did a fantastic job and really took his time addressing my issue and answering all my questions. On a side note, the office was clean, the parking lot had ample parking and the location is great. Easy to find and easy to exit. I highly recommend AFE for any kind of quick medical issues. I am looking forward to coming back

I don't like leaving bad reviews, especially in a small town, but this experience was awful. I was quoted $99 for a contact exam prior to going in. I had to wait 15-20 minutes before I was even able to be seen by the assistant. Not a big deal, I understand delays. I stood up when the doctor and former patient came to the door, because the assistant called my name. Immediately, the doctor's eye's dropped to my backside, and I became uncomfortable. Granted, I will contend that I was wearing leggings since I was headed to the gym right after, but I still don't think this is excusable behavior in

I was referred by my primary care MD to Advance Family Eyecare in Sweet Home for just a routine checkup. Before I even had my first appointment, I had an alarming event with something floating in my eye. I had read this can be minor, common event at my age but when I called Advance Eyecare, they insisted and got me right in. Dr Stoner gave me a very thorough exam. He said "This is not just a minor floater. I want you to go and get a closer look and possibly some imaging" His staff was already on the phone getting me in to Retina Consultants right away. There a Sonagram confirmed a retinal hemorrhage
