Armed with an art degree, a small amount of equipment and a passion for design, Linda McGill began her jewelry career in her hometown, Durham, NC. It was 1976, and the start of Jewelsmith coincided with a time of booming growth in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and RTP-Research Triangle Park).

The first step in your new creation is to have a conversation with one of our talented designers who know just how to listen to figure out exactly what you want, even if you're not sure! If you have your own gems already, great! If you would like new ones, we have a large selection in stock, plus we can contact our trusted sources to send us several for you to choose from with no obligation.

Our award winning, signature "Parts" Collection is one of our most popular and enduring collections. No two "Parts" pieces are exactly alike and are all handmade in our shop using recycled metals. The necklaces can be started with one or just a few "Parts" and can be added to over time. You can get ready-made pieces to add or you can have us custom make exactly what you want using your gemstones or ours.
