It's so great to meet you! I am Amanda, the lead photographer behind Amanda Collins Photography. Many people ask me how I started in the photography business. My story goes all the way back to my freshman year of high school. I joined the yearbook team, simply because my friend was taking the class too.
My teacher asked me to go take some photos of different school events. A few months later, I came home from school and my mom asked me if I liked taking pictures, and if I wanted a camera for my birthday that year. I wasn't sure why she was asking, but I said yes. Turns out my teacher thought I had 'the eye' and called her to tell her so.
