The Scarborough, Maine office is right off of I-295 next to Lois' Naturals and easily accessible from the greater Portland area. The office has a beautiful spa atmosphere complete with a waterfall, art by local painters and coffee bar. There is a game room with a foosball table and stand up arcade machine-the kids love being early for their appointments so they have more time to play!

If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day. If you have an after hours emergency, we have an answering service on call 24/7. Dr. Podhouser or a staff member will then be paged immediately and return your call as soon as possible. Please cancel your appointment 24-hours in advance so we can keep the schedule running smoothly for all.
First Visit

During your initial appointment either Rita or Nadine will meet with the patient to discuss what brought you in, review your medical history form and take a panoramic x-ray and photos. Dr. Podhouser will then give the patient an exam and present probable treatment. He will also take the time to consult with your general dentist and other specialists involved to ensure that your care is optimally coordinated.

For over 20 years, Dr. Bruce Podhouser has been creating the smiles that people love to show off. After graduation from Tufts Dental School and completing a one-year General Practice residency, which involved a significant amount of emergency dentistry and head and facial trauma, he continued on with a two-year orthodontic residency at Montefiore-Albert Einstein Medical Center in New York City.

Eric was a dentist in the Philippines before moving to the U.S. and then he served in the US Navy for 8 years before joining OA in 2002. At OA, he is the Operatory Manager and oversees our website and social media pages. He is married with two children and enjoys golf, table tennis, bowling and playing music.
