We visited Mt Shasta for 2 days and visited the bakery both days. Try their delicious coffees (we got their mocha and cappuccino!) Or ask for a dirty chai! The staff are super friendly and helpful and even remember your order the next day!
Also try their yummy coffee cake or their Saturday -only special cinammon rolls - the perfect moist and the perfect sweetness! Wasn't a fan of their savories though - stick to coffee and the sweet stuff!

Great little coffee shop! The lemon blueberry Danish was perfection with light flakey layers, creamy lemon curd and blueberries. I really enjoyed the treat. The ham and cheese croissant and our coffees were also very good.

Hands down the most incredible quiche I've ever had. Perfectly flaky crust and fluffy egg : filling ratio. A slice will definitely feed two people. I planned my recent drive from Seattle to L.A. around Mt. Shasta Pastry's hours of operation (closed Mondays and Tuesdays during Fall/Winter). Sadly, they were not serving quiche that day, but I did have an amazing and fresh-from-the-oven strawberry scone. They also serve full breakfasts (omelettes, huevos rancheros, etc), but while substantial they're pretty run-of-the-mill. Stick to the baked goods and you'll be in heaven

The bunts are decent. The younger staff and the front desk make you feel welcome. The prices are decent for cali prices however, the weed should have 0 seeds and the flavor should be astonishing. Oregon is less than an hour away and they are consistant on those points. The staff is the reson we come back.

A real gem in Mt. Shasta. We lucked out that this pastry shop and breakfast restaurant was just a block away from our motel. The food and baked goods are phenomenal. The first morning we ate in their dining area. I had the Egg Topper, sauteed mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, red onions and potatoes topped with three eggs, mine were scrambled served with salsa and sour cream. The house made salsa made the dish sing. My husband had the French toast made with their challah. The next morning I picked up a to-go order of an egg, ham and cheese breakfast croissant and a huge slice of blueberry coffee

I just had the best cinnamon roll of my life. Here’s a story I wrote about it:
A bold, curious hunk of crusty bread and a beautiful, delicate little cake met in the moonlight and consummated a child. This child was part bread and cake, forbidden by the bakery elders. As honor dictated, the bread took its own life with a sharpened bread knife. The cake returns with its child each year to the spot where she met the child’s father. One year on that spot the child looked up, and a comet streaked across the moonlit sky. Glitter fell from the comet and became a cinnamon glaze that wrapped around

We took a chance on this quaint little pastry shop on Mother's Day. Our family was in town for my dad's memorial service the day before and found ourselves not getting a reservation for Mother's Day Brunch at 3 of the nicer restaurants in town. So we tried our luck with Mt. Shasta Pastry and were pleasantly surprised at 1. they could seat all 7 of us; 2. the coffee was delicious; 3. the food was GREAT and 4. the staff and service were GREAT! We will definitely be back next time we are in Mt. Shasta.

Sorry no photos, but I had THE BEST Challah French Toast, my husband loved his

Exceptional pastries! I lived in Paris and Munich and always tried new shops, and these are every bit as good. My cycling partner agreed as well. Sampled the Pain au Chocolat, Bear Claw and blueberry coffee cake.

If your looking for the best bear claw ever look no further its here. Ive been to soooo many bakery's and tried many bear claws but none compare to this one. It was so so crispy and the filling was delicious. Unfortunately i was only able to get the last 2 but i was blessed to have even tried them at all. Had i arrived earlier I would've stocked up for sure. I was in Mt Shasta for almost a week and kept trying to come here but they were always closed or had weird hours. Luckily they were open on my last day. Next time ill try more pastries from this spot for sure

Getting bakery treats is not a new concept for me, but let me tell you, this spot felt like something from the heavens. Nothing compares to the flakey, fresh pastry I got from here, NOTHING. I've had some delicious treats in my day but this was other worldly. I'm not kidding.

My friend for a couple weeks was relishing the memory of the blueberry scones, so when we headed the same direction for a planned trip I felt I had no choice but to bring her back some scones, it is a 4.5 hour drive so hardly something we can do regularly.

Obviously since I'm there it would be silly not

Stopped by to grab breakfast on the go before our hike. I got a slice of banana walnut bread and it did not disappoint! It was soft and moist with a nice crunch from the walnuts.

During the pandemic everything is take out. The staff were friendly, the bakery was clean and everyone was properly socially distanced and everyone was wearing masks. I ordered the coffee cake which is GIGANTIC. It was a little in the dry side but I still ate it all. My friend and I ordered the tomato pesto croissant which we both highly recommend because this was a savory delight. I ordered the veggie sausage and it’s delicious. My friend ordered the blueberry lemon scone and she quite enjoyed it. If you’re in town, this is a great place to stop by and get some baked goods and a nice lunch

Out of towners stopping in for breakfast after a day on the mountain yesterday. This was delicious. Strong fresh coffee friendly staff we even snagged a table outside in the sun. The food was the BEST we ate every bite and we aren't breakfast people! Thank you for a great ending to our trip!

We got breakfast here one morning during our trip. We got the food to go due to Covid. The thing that put me off is that 2 of 3 people in the kitchen didn't have masks on. I would think that the people cooking and handling the food would.

The food itself was very good. We got egg breakfast plates and a coffee.

Decent place to visit for a classic breakfast (I got the basic eggs, potatoes, and sausage) with a one-day old pesto croissant with tomato. The food was basic and filling, but not something that I was wowed by. The one thing I do like is that they definitely use fresh eggs, rather than something from a mix, which I really appreciated. The potatoes were pretty burnt and needed a bit more seasoning. Luckily, there was salt and pepper available for me to do my own seasoning.

The star of my dish was definitely the yummy pork sausage. I wanted to be impressed with my croissant, but it was really flat

This is a great little hole in the wall!

We arrived at 9:00 and enjoyed their special of the day, savory Eggs Benedict. This was cooked to perfection. The holandaise was superb.

Additionally we had the freshly made blueberry coffee cake, a raspberry danish, and a breakfast burrito. All of which were very good.

The coffee was a sore spot, no fault to the restaurant. It is so good we kept running out.

There are only a dozen or so seats, so come early to enjoy your meal. As I said before, this is a great little hole in the wall. Weather a local or traveler, I am sure you will find something

Coming down from the Siskiyous into California, the bike's thermometer jumped up into the 80s and hit 91on the return; yet so far in this region, the summer temperatures have been cooler than usual. Still it it would have better to have started earlier to reach Mt. Shasta in time for a morning breakfast.
The bakery looks worn and old but the food is very good. On Sundays apparently only breakfast is served so I ordered the California scramble that is three eggs with mixed veggies and some avocado slices with home grilled potatoes. All were cooked to perfection and the ingredients were fresh
