You should know about Step Up To Quality - Ohio's voluntary, five star rating system for early childhood programs. Step Up To Quality was created by the state to provide Ohio children with early care and education experiences that go beyond the minimum standards of licensing. We use creative, high quality, developmentally appropriate High/Scope curriculum and teacher resources.

The curriculum provides a balance of daily teacher-directed activities and child-directed activities. Our teacher's goal is to make learning fun and help prepare your child for the future. This facility participates in the federally funded Child Care Food Program, and meets USDA nutrition requirements for meals served.

Our curriculum provides a variety of activities that are designed to engage and develop parts of the brain throughout the following learning scope.

Meals

Most of our meals are cooked from scratch on site, fresh fruit and vegetables served daily. For infants we provide Similac Advance infant formula and Gerber Infant cereals, fruits, vegetable and meat items. This day care facility participates in the CACFP, a Federal program that provides healthy meals and snacks to children receiving day care services.

We are so pleased with Play Academy. Both Ana and Gabriel are having a great year in the infant and preschool programs. I feel that they are both well cared for in a safe, fun, healthy, educational environment. They both seem to really enjoy being there. I appreciate that they teachers know both kids well, and there is a lot of good communication about how they are doing.
