Ankle & Foot
Report
OrthoRehab has its own specialty clinic that focuses on foot and ankle injuries - Plantar Fascia Institute of MN. The ankle / foot is a very intricate complex. There are a total of 28 bones and over 100 ligaments, tendons, and muscles. The foot needs to be strong and stable to support us while at the same time flexible enough to allow for multi-planar movements like walking, running, jumping, etc.
Knee
Report
The knee is the biggest joint in the body and one of the most commonly injured joints. It is susceptible to traumatic injuries because it is located on the end of two long bones - the femur and the tiba. The knee relies on its ligaments and muscles to provide stability, not the bony anatomy. The knee is prone to acute injuries, age related wear and tear injuries, and arthritis.
