Services
Crowns and Bridges
Report
If a tooth is too weak or damaged for us to repair it with a simple filling, a dental crown is usually needed to restore the tooth so it can function properly again. Dr. Cox uses updated technology that benefits you by delivering the most efficient and comfortable dental experience possible. Dr. Cox has offered patients the convenience of state-of-the-art CEREC same-day crowns for nearly 10 years.
Cleanings
Report
Regular dental cleanings, performed by a registered dental hygienist, are a CRUCIAL part of preventive dental care. By removing plaque and tartar, your oral health is enhanced and your risk of gingivitis and periodontal disease are reduced. Your dental hygienist will utilize manual instruments to remove moderate plaque and tartar buildup, or an ultrasonic device to scale away heavier buildup.
Dental Fillings
Report
Dental Fillings are the most common type of dental restoration used to replace sections of teeth that are missing, damaged or decayed. While traditional dental materials like gold, amalgam, porcelain, and composite successfully restore teeth; recent advances in dental technology have made a wider and improved selection of restorative choices available.
Dental Implants
Report
A dental implant is a standalone tooth replacement that mimics the natural structure of a tooth. Dental implants are secured in the jawbone with a surgically implanted titanium "root, " then capped with a natural-looking dental restoration, the part of the tooth that is visible when you smile. They fuse with surrounding bone and tissue and become an anchor that mimics a natural root.
Dental Technologies
Report
In our office we use digital radiography which allows us to take x-rays using up to 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays. Using this technology, we are able to take an x-ray of your mouth by using a small sensor which records the image of your teeth and sends it to a computer.
The result is a highly detailed image of your mouth that can easily be enhanced to better diagnose dental concerns and determine the very best treatment for each case.Small cameras about the size of a pen, called intraoral cameras, are utilized to help see the condition of your teeth and gums. With this advanced technology we can zoom in on small diseased areas, cracks, worn metal fillings, and soft tissue lesions.
