She wasn't fond of doctors and I guess my questions struck a nerve. My first experience with the world of holistic medicine occurred in the early 80's while living in Boston.

I chose to receive post-graduate training in this specialty because my dad has glaucoma which went terribly wrong (probably by being prescribed a medication which can make glaucoma worse!), and now he is legally blind. It is a very tough thing to deal with when your dad is ninety and has had his sight his entire life and now becomes dependent on others for the smallest daily tasks.
