Sampan pioneered Direct to Film (DTF) printing in Louisville using industrial M&R equipment. Founder
A Navy veteran and Jeffersonville native, Glenn Murphy started Sampan in 1979 after meeting his wife Ella in Hong Kong. He pioneered local screen printing techniques and led the company's technological adoption, including early Macintosh systems in 1984.

Co-Founder
Originally from Hong Kong, Ella Murphy co-founded Sampan with Glenn in 1979. She brought international perspective to the business and helped establish supply connections that supported the company's expansion into martial arts supplies and nationwide branding.
