There's a lot more to an eye examination than you might think. Many of our patients return year after year to make sure they're seeing as well as they can with their eyeglasses or contact lenses. Some come in because they have family members with problems such as macular degeneration, cataracts or glaucoma and they want to know if these same conditions might affect them.

At Ross Eyecare, our patients benefit from our extensive medical network established with the goal of providing the highest level of care for our patients. Although we manage many medical conditions of the eye in our office, occasionally surgical intervention is required. In the case of LASIK and other surgical procedures, we provide in-depth consultation as well as extensive pre- and post- operative care.

Digital photography of the inside of the eye is used to follow subtle changes in the health of the eye related to glaucoma, very small freckles in the back of the eye (watching for the same type of change we all watch for with freckles on our skin), diabetic eye disease, vascular changes related to high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol and macular degeneration.
