Before his family moved to San Luis Obispo, Dr. Patel spent his childhood in London, England. He lived and attended school on the Central Coast until leaving for college to study biochemistry at UCLA. Upon receiving his bachelors degree he attended the UCLA School of Dentistry, earning his doctorate degree in 1998.
