I was a little worried after reading all the reviews and I had already signed my lease but, so far, I have not been disappointed. I honestly believe all the negative reviews are just people who like to find things to complain about. It's true that the cost to live here is a little on the higher end but I feel that the cost is well worth the comfort, style and amenities.
I will start with the application process. If you're anything like me, finding any available apartments in Riverside have been near impossible for the past few months. When I noticed an apartment become available on their website

I lived here for a little under a year. It was way over priced but it was a nice apartment. My $400 security deposit was lit on fire and then some. I left my apartment spotless and was charged 100+ dollars for a cleaning fee (after deep cleaning the place before moving out) another 100+ dollars in PAINT I have NO IDEA WHY. And a $75 carpet cleaning fee when there was nothing wrong with the carpet plus there was only carpet in the bedroom which was not very big. Overall, don't live here unless you have a lot of money to burn.

Terrible experience here. When we moved in they gave us a sheet to mark stuff down that was wrong with the apartment like chipped paint, stains in carpet, etc. We marked it up with everything there was wrong with it or dirty, and there was plenty. We broke our lease 8 months in, paid almost $4,000 to break the lease, and they are charging us an additional $500 for repairs and they are siting everything we marked up on the sheet when we moved in even though it wasnt made by us. They are impossible to contact and are declining to acknowledge the sheet and making us pay the repairs regardless. Worst

If you have other options, look into those. No walking entries to the property, the gates are both broken and I've been reporting one for 7 months at this point. I've just given up on the idea that they'll fix it and some of the leasing office staff have been really rude about my consistent reporting the broken entrance.
Carpeting, blinds, amenities are all cheap and break easily. Maintenance requests take forever and there are random inspections, I've never lived somewhere with one of these "inspections" before.
Move in was also a bit of a disaster. I arrived at the leasing office, introduced

The community is nice and close to everything. The staff made it easy to move in and accommodated a short term lease for us. Although I am not happy that we received a significant rent increase at the end of the lease to remain month to month.

This place is very quiet and peaceful. The front-desk staff in the office are very friendly and helpful. They are led by Tina who is also great. The management above them, not so helpful and not friendly. Very inflexible. The building is also pretty pricey given it's Riverside. Parking for visitors is practically non existent. The unit I live in is quite dated with lots of old carpets. But the new units are good and modern.

DO NOT RENT HERE!
I rented here for 2 years. The pictures they have posted are from their model showrooms and misleading. Everything you get for appliances is old and breaks occasionall. They switched out my washer twice, dryer twice, and fridge once. Reaching the maintenance department is a pain in butt.
So I decided to end my lease this March and with Covid19 going on it was really hard to get a hold of the leasing office. I tried calling, emailing, and then came to the point when I had to speak thru the glass door to tell them about ending my lease. I paid my ending lease balance and they

I wanted to write a positive review of Castlerock, which is quite a beautiful apartment complex and property, but unfortunately, I had a pretty terrible experience there. In short, living here probably cost me $2,000+ dollars in fees.

Move-in: I applied online for an apartment with a specific move-in date. I was approved. I was living out of state, so I bought a plane ticket in preparation for my move. Then, I got a call from the management that my move-in date had to be pushed back a week. I explained that I had already made travel arrangements but there was nothing they could do. So I had to

We've lived in our apartment for about a week, so I may update my review later, but so far living at Castlerock has been lovely! The leasing staff/office staff are wonderful, we needed to get an apartment super last minute and they had us in a great place with a lease signed in a week. We had a few bumps when we moved in (missing refrigerator, leak in the bathroom) but the issues were resolved quickly and we've had no problems since. The grounds are lovely, it's like walking into a hotel, and the distance from UCR is a dream. The apartments are updated and have a bunch of space and

We lived here for 5 years and it was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful grounds, quiet, and great customer service from all of the staff. There were a few times we had noisy upstairs neighbors and the office staff took our side every time and dealt with the situation quickly. The maintenance crew is also awesome- friendly & professional. We did not want to leave Castle Rock, but our new jobs needed us to relocate. Thank you for being an amazing place to live!!! They are now updating the units even more with hardwood floors and such, so if you're considering living here, you won't regret

Management team is untrustworthy. The management team will not take accountability for mistakes that they have made. We recently moved out of one of their apartments and requested a pre move out inspection multiple times and it was never scheduled. The staff lies and will not acknowledge any conversations you may have had over the phone or in person. We did not receive our move out statement within 21 calendar days, and now have to go through small claims court to remedy an issue that could have been avoided.

UPDATE TO BELOW: Neighbors smoke weed every single night until 4am. Management does NOTHING. They advertise as being non smoking, it is not true! If you have children or just hate the smell of weed smoke at all hours of the night keeping you awake, DO NOT MOVE HERE! I can not sleep because the smell of smoke every night in my apartment! This is now just a warning to people who are thinking about moving here!

Fair place. Parking isn't great, expensive items stolen from the trunk of my car. Says it a non smoking complex...COMPLETELY NOT TRUE. People smoke on their patios, they smoke in the

Giving this place 3 stars. I would have given more as the apartment is nicely remodeled and the grounds are beautifully kept, with maintenance being awesome at what theBUT the real turn off is PARKING. Please DO NOT move here if you have more than 1 vehicle. You do get one assigned spot under a carport but everything else is far game which means if you get home after 3pm weekdays you have to either part across the complex or circle and pray you find a spot. The weekends are WORST! NO ONE MOVES THEIR CARS so you're screwed if you move your car from an unassigned spot. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND

I'm writing this review because I miss this complex so much. I was with Greystar for 11 years and never had any issues. The office staff is extremely nice and they do care about every resident that lives on site. Management takes pride on the up keep of their grounds keeping everything from the pool, gym, grass nicely clean. Moved out in Feburary to a different complex due to the rates being to high for me but i regret it so bad. I'm looking forward to my lease to be over so I can return back to the place I onced called home and the office staff I considered to be like family. I guarantee

I've been living in this apartment complex since June of last year and I have to say that my experience has been great. The neighbors are quiet, the facilities are always maintained (gym, pool, lounge, office), and the staff is very friendly (Natasha signed our lease with us. She is amazing and always helpful). Anytime I've needed maintenance on the apartment, someone has been out within 24 hours and the issue is resolved. On top of everything, the apartment complex is located in a great area. I go to UCR and this complex is only 10 minutes away. If I had to list a con it would be that the apartments

For the most part, our experience here was decent. I've read some of the really negative comments and I just wonder how many of these reviews can be taken as a basis for any of the reader's choices... As always, caveat emptor, just beware and be smart "shoppers". Lived her for 2 years.

Pros
Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood
Very quiet and peaceful community

I never heard parties
