Inspections
Report
Our reports are clearly worded and include pictures and easy to understand terminology. We don't hand you 20 pages of illegible handwritten comments and confusing check boxes. Each report is written by the person that inspects the house and contains only information specific to YOUR house. You won't find our reports filled with general information or lists of what we're not doing.
Crawl Spaces
Report
In short, most problems throughout crawl spaces in Oregon are the result of excessive moisture or a lack of proper ventilation. A crawl space is typically defined as any void space beneath a heated living space that has a bare dirt floor. In most cases, crawl spaces are surrounded by a perimeter concrete foundation and have some point of access, either from the exterior of the space or from a hatch in the floor of the living space above.
Electrical Issues
Report
Every problem or shortcoming throughout a house's electrical system results in an elevated risk of injury from electrical shock and/or a fire. Therefore, correcting any problems throughout this system should be at the top of your priority list. Reverse Polarity: This is the result of wiring an outlet "backwards".
Electric Panels
Report
An electric service panel is one of the most important safety devices in your home. The panel's main function is to continuously monitor the amount of electricity that's travelling to various places in your house and to turn off if too much is being called for in a certain area.
The reason too much electricity can be a problem is that the wires in the house are sized for a given load and when they are overworked they overheat and can cause a fire. Most electrical equipment manufacturers specify a service life of an electric panel somewhere around 40 years so if yours is older than this you should really consider updating it to maintain the overall safety in your house.
