A Christian preschool and child care center located in the heart of Virginia Beach, Thalia Day School is just one mile east of Town Center, residing within Thalia United Methodist Church. We serves ages 6 weeks through kindergarten and use the A Beka curriculum, which provides a wonderful foundation for success in elementary school and teaches about the Bible.

Our mission is to develop the whole child; spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and academically. Thalia Day School was established in 2007 as a non-denominational Christian day school. Although we are privately owned, we are housed in the beautiful facilities of Thalia United Methodist Church.
Curriculum

A Beka is a Christian-based curriculum used by thousands of Christian schools throughout the world. It is based on a strong academic foundation, emphasizing a phonetic approach to reading, traditional methods of Biblical study, and moral and character development. Spanish, chapel, art, music and fitness lessons are provided as part of our student curriculum and are included as part of your tuition at no extra charge.
