Custom Design Process

Most custom orders take 3 to 6 weeks from our initial design session to the completed product. Our work is custom-made and requires more attention to detail than a mass-produced piece of jewelry. The pricing can vary depending on the medium, style and design. We work with our customers on pricing and are able to design within all budgets.

The custom design process is unique and fun! We work with realistic schedules for our clients. We are excited to deliver a high-quality product and be a part of the special moments in your life. If more time is needed for design elements to be incorporated they will be delivered ASAP. How long will your custom setting take to create.
Design Session
Report
We want you to feel comfortable to share your ideas because no one knows you better than yourself. We will use this time to learn about your style, discover your wants and needs for the design, and understand the meaning behind the custom jewelry being created. A ring size if possible, The most accurate sizing is your physical finger, but for the covert sizing download the pdf.
3D Prototype
Report
During this stage of the process we are creating the prototype for you to view. Most of the time the wax prototypes are carved unless we are hand fabricating the jewelry. During this process we take the design sketch and start with a wax block or tube. We can envision the jewelry being formed as we are carving the piece.
Casting
Report
The prototype of the jewelry is attached to a wax sprue. This is then attached to a rubber base and the steel flask is placed around the prototype. We mix up an investment (combination of a powdered substance called investment and water) which will be poured into the flask that the jewelry is sitting in.
