Route 19 Inn is the kind of hotel where Elvis, Ray, Hank, Patsy and Johnny might've stayed while on tour back in the day. Whether you pull up in your Harley or your Hudson Hornet, we think it's the kind of place you'll want to stay on your next mountain road trip. In the glory days of road trips, when you wanted to motor West, Route 66 was the highway that's the best.
But in the East, it was U.S. Highway 19 to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park of North Carolina and Tennessee. In 1948, during the height of the road-trip era, Rocky Waters Motel opened to travelers along that iconic highway to the North Carolina mountains. Today, it's revitalized and reopened in midcentury mountain style as Route 19 Inn in scenic Maggie Valley, NC, near Waynesville, Cherokee and Asheville.

Snap a photo while riding our stationary motorcycle in front of our mural tribute to the nearby famous Tail of the Dragon Road that runs through the Smoky Mountains across the Tennessee / North Carolina line. Marvel at the realism of the native wildlife carved into our totem pole, crafted by a local wood artisan.
