Pediatric Dentistry
Your follow up visit will serve as a checkup or possibly be used to address any treatment your child may need as determined by Dr. Kim at your last visit. Regular dental visits help your child have a healthy mouth and stay cavity-free. Teeth cleanings remove debris that build up on the teeth, irritate the gums and cause decay.

A toothbrush will remove plaque bacteria that can lead to decay. Any soft-bristled toothbrush with a small head, preferably one designed specifically for infants, should be used at least once a day at bedtime. In order to prevent dental problems, your child should see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears, or no later than his/her first birthday.
Emergency FAQs
Report
Accidents happen and in the event something happens to your child's teeth remember the four following things. Find the tooth. Handle the tooth by the crown, not the root portion. You may rinse the tooth but DO NOT clean or handle the tooth unnecessarily. Inspect the tooth for fractures. If it is sound, try to reinsert it in its socket.
