Children learn through creative play, becoming chefs, dancers, scientists, storytellers, woodworkers, musicians, paleontologists, and artists as they combine activity and discovery with imagination. Parents learn side by side with their children through involvement in their children's education.

About
Report
Kirkland Co-op Preschool is located in Lake Washington United Methodist Church. KCP is not a church-sponsored program, nor do we have any religious affiliation. Our program was started in 1947 by a group of moms interested in a cooperative program for their children. We opened our doors in a converted chicken coop on Finn Hill.
Classes
Report
It is a virtual program, with supplementary in-person outdoor learning times. Teachers prepare monthly art supplies for pick-up/drop-offs. These art kits provide many of the projects your student would normally do and experience in class. No student drop-offs during in-person outdoor time. 12:30-2:30pm in-person outdoor learning every week, alternating location of KCP or local park/trail head.
Testimonials
Report
This exactly what I was looking for in a preschool. Affordable, play-based, wonderful teachers, and a great community of families. Since you volunteer in the classroom every week, you get to know the other kids as well as their parents/caregivers, so I feel very comfortable leaving my child there on the days I drop-off.

Q: At what age can my child attend KCP? Dates given are for the calendar year in which the school year begins. Thus, for example, children entering Group I in the fall of 2016 must be 2 years old by the end of February of that year. One parent from each family must work in the classroom once per week for each child enrolled at the preschool.
