Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that enables surgeries to be done with an operating hole that is just one centimeter wide or less than 1/2 of an inch. North Branch Veterinary Hospital offers laser surgery for their patients. Instead of using a scalpel blade or scissors, the doctors use a CO2 laser to do the cutting. The laser cuts and seals the blood vessels and nerve endings. This results in less bleeding, less pain, less swelling, reduced risk of infection, and a faster recovery.
