The Waterfront Restaurant is locally owned and operated by island natives Susan and Scot Flowers. The Flowers' name upholds four generations in the Edisto seafood industry. Growing up Scot could be found running the family's fresh seafood shop or on the back of his dad's shrimp boat, who was a shrimper for 44 years.
From the shrimp boat to his mother Doris Flowers' kitchen, Scot developed a different approach to seafood. In 2001, Scot opened the Waterfront Restaurant to share his family's history of providing the island with great food. The original location of The Waterfront overlooked Big Bay Creek, hence the name.
