We love everything about Barum! Our son only started a few months ago and already we feel a part of the family. The owners, instructors and students are so welcoming and supportive of one another. It's a great workout and confidence builder.

Brazilian jiujitsu is a martial art, the practice of which involves a lot of trust and patience. You learn to master the movements of your own body and also learn to control and subdue your opponents. The time involved for mastery is usually many years and the trust needed involves situations where your neck and limbs are in vulnerable positions. It is imperative then that you feel safe and at home with your training partners and have a feeling of community with them. I have been a student at Barum jiujitsu for over 5 years and having visited many gyms throughout the world; I feel that the environment

I love everything about this place. From the first time I walked through the door I was treated like family. It's often the highlight of my day and I feel very fortunate to have found Barum BJJ. If you're looking for a place to train, do yourself a favor and check them out.

Best Jiu Jitsu spot I've found in San Diego. Been to quite a few. Very family orientated with a competition team as well. Small enough to get as much attention as you may need. Definitely check it out before committing to another gym
