Synthetic Slate Roofing
Our synthetic slate tiles replicate natural slate's elegance while offering superior durability. Made from recycled rubber and plastic, these lightweight tiles resist cracking and weather damage, with 50-year warranties and Class 4 impact resistance. The material maintains dimensional stability in extreme temperatures, reducing maintenance costs while preserving historical aesthetics for both residential and commercial properties.
Synthetic Shake Roofing
These synthetic shake tiles mimic cedar's natural texture with enhanced performance characteristics. The material resists rot, insect damage, and fire while maintaining authentic wood-grain details. Available in multiple profiles and widths, the tiles install faster than traditional shakes and qualify for property insurance discounts due to their hail-resistant construction.
Concrete Tile Alternatives
Our concrete tile replicas combine modern aesthetics with composite material advantages. The lightweight design reduces structural load requirements while maintaining concrete's clean lines. With 3/4-inch thickness for enhanced shadow lines and UV-resistant coloring, these tiles offer freeze-thaw durability without cracking concerns in northern climates.
Clay Tile Reproductions
These clay tile alternatives capture traditional terra cotta aesthetics at 70% less weight. The composite material resists chipping and fading while maintaining rich color variations. Available in Island Groove profile with enhanced shadow lines, the tiles install faster than natural clay without requiring special fasteners or structural reinforcement.
Roofing Accessories
Our comprehensive accessory line enhances system performance and longevity. Includes Glacier Guard ice and water shield, Aqua Guard synthetic underlayment, and stainless steel fasteners with superior corrosion resistance. The EcoVent concealed ridge ventilation system maintains aesthetic continuity while meeting code requirements for attic airflow and temperature control.
Questions
What materials are EcoStar LLC roofing products made from?
Our products use Starloy, a proprietary blend of 80% recycled rubber and plastic. This composite formulation provides superior impact resistance while diverting industrial waste from landfills.
Do synthetic roofing tiles qualify for insurance discounts?
Yes, our Class 4 impact-resistant tiles often qualify for hail insurance discounts. The material's durability reduces claims risk, with documented cases of 20-30% premium reductions for qualifying properties.
How do EcoStar LLC tiles compare to natural materials in durability?
Our composite tiles outperform natural materials in freeze-thaw cycles, impact resistance, and dimensional stability. Unlike slate or clay, they won't crack from foot traffic or thermal expansion, with 50-year warranties covering both materials and labor.
Are EcoStar LLC products suitable for coastal environments?
Yes, our tiles resist saltwater corrosion and UV degradation. The Island Groove clay profile and cool color options perform exceptionally well in coastal climates with minimal fading or maintenance requirements.
What installation advantages do synthetic tiles offer?
Our tiles install 30-40% faster than natural materials using standard roofing tools. The lightweight design reduces structural reinforcement needs, and the consistent profiles simplify alignment while maintaining authentic shadow lines.
How does EcoStar LLC support sustainability goals?
Each roof diverts approximately 1,200 pounds of industrial rubber and plastic from landfills. Our manufacturing process uses 60% less energy than traditional materials, with Environmental Product Declarations verifying our lifecycle sustainability claims.

Absolutely a pleasure working with Ecostars majestic slate. Its a great product that Ive used on several projects over the years. They have great color retention and Ive had zero warping or curling. I also like the fact they are solid tiles, that to me is a plus when youre installing in valleys or gable rakes simply because they do not have the voids on cut edges like tiles that have a honey comb structure. Love the product, great look.

Nice looking product. I personally don't trust synthetic roofing products because I've seen so many fail, curl, discolor, crack and generally go to heck. Yet this one seems to be doing well.
Cemwood, New American Cemwood, Cal Shake, Hardie Shake, and some short lived rubberish shakes have come and gone. EcoStar is still here so I'm starting to consider it. Caution is best when dealing with pretty expensive roof systems.
