Abigail started Abigail Joyce Photography in 2012 and continues to remain the lead photographer. With hundreds of newborns and even more families seen each year, Abigail brings a superior level of knowledge, experience, and technique to her clients. Rachel joined Abigail Joyce Photography in early 2021 as one of our first full-time employees, based in South Carolina.

I love all the snuggles with newborns, all the baby giggles, I love seeing families in love, and having fun during their sessions! I may be born here in the midwest but I am inspired by the west coast, yet love the charm of the east coasts. My husband's name is Ben. We were married in 2015, and have been business partners from day one.

Part of being a newborn photographer includes best practices for the health of not just big and little clients, but also your photographer. In every season this practice is prioritized, whether we're fighting the transmission of common colds, flues, or new viruses being discovered.
Many of the things already in place since the start of Abigail Joyce Photography, and which are even more important during times of contagious transmissions, include deep sanitation of fabrics, props, and the studio space.Along with this, I monitor my health, my exposure to any possible sicknesses, and will immediately offer to reschedule if I sense that my health has been compromised in any way.

Scheduling Your Newborn Session

You, or someone you designate, will contact me within those first 2 days after your baby is born. We'll schedule your session at this point. Newborn sessions are scheduled for a date within the 2 weeks after your baby is born. Review the prep guide and outfit suggestions sent to you for a smooth and successful session.
Newborn Scenes

Every newborn sessions starts with a scene. This is the complete look produced by what I photograph against. This can be an organic wool flokati rug from Greece, a solid color blanket with or without textures, or a reclaimed hardwood stage crafted from the original building timbers of 1920's Chicago architecture.
