John F. Jordan, a businessman in tobacco who served as a Guilford County sheriff, a Greensboro commissioner, and Chamber of Commerce director. The house was purchased by the Greensboro Woman's Club in 1921 with the purpose of using the home as a clubhouse. In 1998, the Weir-Jordan House was made available to the public as a banquet and event center.

In 2008, the Weir-Jordan House became the home of Savory St. catering. Conveniently located in downtown Greensboro, a mere 100 yards from First National Bank Field, Savory St. Our food was amazing! We received so many compliments on how awesome it was. We also had them do our cake, which was so delicious my husband can't wait until our anniversary to have another one made.
