Four generations of the Ray family have provided over 100 years of tree services throughout Kentucky and Indiana. Known as Louisville's tree surgeon, Thomas Ray began Thos. Ray General Landscape Services on Carlisle Avenue in Louisville, KY. Thomas Ray was the beginning of the Ray lineage in the arboriculture and horticulture field.

Ray followed in Thomas's footsteps and started the Carl Ray Landscape Nursery in 1928. The picture above is the office of the original location before the business relocated to Eastwood.
