Four generations of the Ray family have provided over 100 years of tree services throughout Kentucky and Indiana. Known as Louisville's tree surgeon, Thomas Ray began Thos. Ray General Landscape Services on Carlisle Avenue in Louisville, KY. Thomas Ray was the beginning of the Ray lineage in the arboriculture and horticulture field.

An enormous limb cracked off my 200 ft tree, but was caught by a lower limb before it would have smashed through the ceiling of my child's bedroom. Obviously a major safety issue and I need help immediately. Bob Ray's receptionist said they are booked out 2-3 weeks before they can come give an estimate, which is understandable. However, she refused to recommend me the names of other reputable companies whom I could contact to see if they can get here sooner, because the teetering limb is an immediate, serious hazard. She refused, because she said she wasn't in the business of helping her "competitors

If you are interested in tree removal, read the fine print. They rescheduled twice and pushed it out until months later that I didn't think they would show up. All of a sudden they emailed to say they'd come the next day to remove our tree in our backyard. They made a mess of our driveway and then refused to do anything regarding making amends. They did remove our large tree quickly, but I would have gone with another company if I had known they'd create holes in my driveway. Buyer beware.

I called for an estimate, was given a vague within a week or two answer that they'll swing by. I then called to cancel because I found another company was willing to come out at a specific date/time two days following call.
The office didn't tell the estimator I had cancelled and he called on the way to my house one day.
Reply to Company Response: I did reach someone, they didn't communicate it to the employee who still showed up at my house.

The team that came to our house explained how they planned to do the work, were task oriented, courteous and helpful. They ensured the areas they worked were cleaned and presentable before they left. The entire process from free quote to completion of service was amazing. Recommend without hesitation.

I hope by now people understand how companies like yours get their excellent rating. In all my experiences with companies such as yours, the company denies having any knowledge of the customer. However, I still have the original contract and can prove every word in this rating. Once again, I would NEVER use your company and hope others will be aware.

I had them come out and take down some dead limbs from a couple of my trees. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service. They did have to bring a big bucket truck for one of the trees and I thought it might be a problem but they parked it in my driveway and got the job done in little over a hour. They were very professional and very nice. I have had other tree services before that left somewhat of a mess, not them. After they left I went out and took a look around, you would of never have known they were there. I definitely will use them again and highly recommend their services.
