About Us
Report
Northside Veterinary Hospital was started in 1995 by Dr. Jeff and Emily Wood. After being built in roughly eight weeks, the office opened with a computer in the reception area on a piece of plywood, supported by a two filing cabinets and three employees. Since then, we have gone through several remodels, both downstairs and upstairs.
Wellness
Report
Physical exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, dental disease, skin allergies, and more! For puppies & kittens- vaccination boosters should be given at 6, 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age.
Dermatology
Report
Skin diseases are very common in dogs and cats and are one of the top reasons why owners seek veterinary care for their pet. They can be very frustrating and challenging to treat without proper knowledge and performing diagnostic tests. The most common initial symptom of skin problems in dogs and cats is itching.

Over 80 percent of dogs and cats have periodontal disease, resulting in inflammation of the gums and bone that hold the teeth in place. Dental disease causes pain and difficulty eating and can lead to other health problems. At Northside Veterinary Hospital, we offer a full range of basic and advanced veterinary dental care treatments for your pet.
Oncology
Report
Northside Veterinary Hospital provides basic oncology and chemotherapy treatment for your pets. We see many cases of animal cancer each week. Many of these are second and third opinions from other practitioners. We customize the treatment protocol to each patient often combining surgical, regenerative medicine, and chemotherapy to achieve the best results.
