Justin grew up in Diboll, Texas which is in the Deep East Texas area. Justin grew up following and playing sports and he had a passion for the outdoors. Living in East Texas hunting and fishing opportunities were all around and Justin spent time enjoying those opportunities with his father. Justin attended Diboll High School where he was a proud member of the Lumberjack marching band.

The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps.
