Report
If you recognize any of the signs above your pet most likely has skin and/or environmental allergies. Allergies are an overactive and inappropriate response to normal things that your pet comes in contact with. In the end, allergies decrease your pet's quality of life by tearing up their skin and making them feel miserable.
Career
Report
Everyone that comes through our door has the opportunity to get one-on-one time with the veterinarian. We are always looking to add people to our team. We are looking for only the best that are able to integrate themselves into our team. It is important that any new team members have something positive to bring to the rest that builds us up and helps us grow.
Stem Cell
Report
Stem cell research is an emerging field that is clouded in a lot of controversy. A stem cell is a young cell that is not yet specialized. The beauty of stem cells is they can become any tissue in the body. Since stem cells are used by the body to make new tissues, naturally, veterinarians have sought after the ability to harvest stem cells and use them to target their efforts to regenerate damaged tissue.
Lameness
Report
Lameness is common among all animals. The question you have to ask yourself is, is the animal able to perform the function I need them to perform pain free. For example, can your horse run how you know they can run? Does it break out of the gates fast and straight? Is your dog jumping in the truck like he used to?
Colic
Report
Colic is one of the main causes of death in horses. Colic refers to pain in the abdomen. We use this term in horses to refer to any condition that causes abdominal pain. It is analogous to a stomach ache in humans. There are many reasons why one might colic. In any case colic is to be considered and emergency and your animal needs to see a veterinarian for evaluation.
