All of our design and repair work is done in-house. Our staff includes a certified appraiser, a graduate gemologist, master jewelers, a certified watchmaker and a knowledgeable sales team.

I began working here in 1998, after graduating from Michigan State University and the Gemological Institute of America, where I received my Graduate Gemologist and Graduate Jeweler degrees.My grandfather always stressed the importance of providing superior customer service and educating customers so that they could make an informed purchase.

Shell Jewelers, Inc. opened in 1951 at 5 South Wabash, otherwise known as "5 South", the center of the jewelry industry in Chicago. The founder, the late Sheldon M. Millman, dreamed of having a jewelry store where the finest and most knowledgeable master craftsmen worked to create custom handcrafted designs.

That's why we have an on-premise master craftsmen who will repair your cherished heirlooms or favorite jewelry with the utmost care and attention to detail. Your jewelry never leaves our store. Everything is handled in-house. After the repair has been completed, your price of jewelry is inspected by one of our quality control specialists to ensure that the work meets our high standards.
