The longer your child chews on their food, the longer the residue stays on their teeth, the more acid forms and the greater the chances of cavities. It is very important to care for your young child's teeth.

Laila Hishaw, DDS, FAAPD, is a board-certified pediatric dentist, speaker, and author of the Amazon best-seller, Cavity-Free Kids: How to Care For Your Kids' Teeth From Birth Through Their Teenage Years. She graduated from Pepperdine University, earning a B.S. in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Hishaw studied at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry where she graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery with Honors in Pediatric Dentistry.Thereafter, Dr. Hishaw completed a two-year residency specializing in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, one of the most respected programs in the country.

Doctors are specially trained in diagnosing and treating the unique problems of children and adolescents. When children see other children having a positive experience, they have a positive model to follow. Committed to caring for all children including those with special health care needs (SHCN). Office is handicap accessible and routinely accommodates SHCN patients.

To ensure that every patient receives our Gold Standard of Care, verbal confirmation is required to secure all appointments. Written correspondence is given to our patients during most appointments. If a parent is not present during an appointment, the accompanying adult will be given these documents.
