I'm an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector and an ASHI Certified Inspector, and I comply with Arizona's excellent Standards of Practice for home inspectors. In both residential and light commercial inspections, I'll perform a thorough visual assessment of most readily accessible aspects of a home.

Residential: The base fee for inspections with a written report is based on the square footage of the home, as is listed in the MLS or other public source such as Zillow. Residential Condos have an additional $45 fee. Could not have gotten a better home inspector than Dan. Huge nerves going into the process of buying my first home, so I was really lucky to get a pro like Dan to help assess the quality and safety of the house. He was prompt and efficient, but still took the time to explain his observations and give a lot of useful advice on low-cost DIY repairs. Probably some of the best money I've ever spent -- learned a lot, got a thorough inspection and report, and crushed my anxiety about falling into a potential money pit. He is fully engaged, passionate about his craft, humorous & very communicative, caring, highly ethical, sensitive to what is going on & needs to be going on, & is keenly observant. Then he is extremely competent in the numerous construction trades in general & the specifics of his certifications. And Dan is organized & methodical in executing the lengthy check list of his detailed inspection. I was over Dan's shoulder asking questions throughout every step of the inspection process

I can't say enough positive things about Dan and the inspection he did on the home we're buying. He arrived and began early and said that since the home is 105 years old and has a guest house, he wanted to be prepared and have plenty of time to deal with unexpected obstacles. I was very interested in what he would find, so I shadowed him during a lot of his work. He didn't seem to mind my hovering at all, and he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and articulate in pointing out areas of concern. I've used many home inspectors on properties in the past but Mr. Evans proved to be the best of them all! He is extremely professional and prompt. The customer is his first priority. He spends time explaining each area and was patient with the many questions I asked. I received his report that evening, which to me was remarkable as I usually had to wait several days to more than a week. An excellent company to do business with.

Donna and I met Dan for the first time at the property we were considering. He was very down to earth, and we felt comfortable being around him. He was thorough in his inspection and explained things in detail when we asked him questions. When he found things, good or bad, he would go into detail so that I would understand and was patient if I didn’t. So we highly recommend him for anybody who needs to buy a home, especially if you feel ill at ease with not knowing everything about home buying.

Dealing with Sky Island Inspections was a delightful experience. Dan was flexible in scheduling the inspection and showed up exactly on time. He did a thorough inspection, pointed out the easy fixes and the things that require professionals. He was very knowledgeable and communicated well. Total professional from the Sky Island Inspections website, the thorough inspection and comprehensive report. Scheduling, communication, extensive knowledge on all aspects of the "home", Dan has got it down to an art. He fully explained what he was looking for, what he had found and provided great recommendations on how to maintain the service and integrity of the overall components of the home. Fair cost and his report was extensive and available the next day. Have never met another inspector as good as Dan.
