Many teachers and students were previously with Aikido of Fremont (Aiki Zenshin Dojo). We are insured and a member of the Western Aikido Association founded by Robert Frager Shihan, Shihan and 7th Degree Black Belt. The Western Aikido Association is directly affiliated with the Aikido Hombu Dojo in Japan.

A - General Age Group Guidelines: Adults of Any Age, Childrens Class at the age of 7 to 12 years, Teens at the age of 13 to 17 years. A - No. Young and old, flexible and stiff, strong and not so strong, male and female, tall and short, trim and overweight can all learn to do Aikido well. Most classes have a mix of beginners, intermediate, and advanced students.

A typical class consists of warm-up exercises, continuing with basic techniques, and gradually moving into more vigorous training. The general pattern is that the entire class sits and watches as the instructor demonstrates a technique. Following the demonstration, everyone in the class will quickly choose a partner and then practice the technique for about 10 minutes.
