At Arizona Primary Eye Care, we are not just a place to buy glasses, we are a medical facility. If you have an eye-related emergency, please come to us. Many of our patients are sent from urgent care centers and primary care doctor offices. We offer same-day appointments. Whether you're looking for some simple, straightforward reading glasses, or want the latest in high-fashion rims on Hollywood's red carpet, we have the designs for you.

We carry exclusive brands and have years of experience in knowing the difference between brands that have the right names, and brands that have what you need. We have all the necessary tools, technology, and expertise to diagnose your optical issues on site. From basic eye exams to visual field analysis, and even eye emergencies, we can help.

Arizona Primary Eye Care was founded in 2010 by Dr. Schmitt and Dr. Nichols. We employ dozens of people over our 3 Tucson locations and 1 Benson location. We are proud supporters of the Arizona Wildcats and have teamed up with Coach Barnes to support the women's basketball team. The ENTIRE staff at AZ Primary Eye Care are top shelf.

Emergency Tucson Optometry Clinic
Report
Hospitals, urgent care, and primary care doctors don't necessarily know how to treat eye injuries or have the best equipment to handle them. We are in our Tucson optometry clinic six days a week and prepared to address eye emergencies. If we determine a referral needs to be done we will help set up an appointment and send over all information needed.
Kids Eye Exams
Report
It's important for parents to realize that the pediatrician and schools generally are only concerned with basic screenings to check for serious and obvious problems when it comes to eye care for kids. They will not be looking inside the eye, beyond basic structure. It's up to parents to bring them into an optometrist at 6 months and 3-4 years old to check for less-obvious problems.
Eyeglasses
Report
Quality frames make a huge difference in your optics and your overall satisfaction with your eyeglasses. We sometimes are frustrated by new patients who come in and have never been told 'no' on frames that did not fit them. By the time we see them, they are frustrated, have headaches, or generally are just "making do" with their look.
