Brent has lived in Cape Girardeau his entire life and has deep roots in the community from graduating from Cape Central High School to being a third generation Brune football player at Southeast Missouri State University. He graduated from Southeast in 1993 with a degree in Industrial Technology.
He worked as a Timber Broker for Timberline International from 1993 until 2006 when he decided to start his own business, creating Brune Forestry Products, LLC.Brent still owns Brune Forestry Products, but in 2011 had the opportunity to purchase Stork Landscaping from his friend, Ben Stork.
