Following his service in the Navy during World War II, Carl C. Ward returned to Ashland and opened a real estate company. His son Robert joined the agency in 1947 and became the owner in 1968. Robert G. Ward, II, and Polly Ward Chandler became the third generation of family ownership in 1991. Ward Real Estate, has been affiliated with the Coldwell Banker franchise since 1984, consistently ranking in the Top 10 of offices of similar size.
